Flash vessel is equipment used in any steam plant for flash evaporation recovery system. Usually high pressure condensate is reduced to lower pressure and is separated in the flash recovery system to prevent pollution of boiler feed tank or heat transfer surfaces. Flash vessel is often referred to as flash drum. The re-vaporization forms flash steam which is even called partial vapor at low pressure which could be free of cost used for other applications that involve low pressure process or heating requirements.
